Nationwide, the pass rate has soured to 97.5% which in turn is the highest ever.  Over a quarter of the exams were rewarded with an A grade which is up 25% compared to last year – an astonishing figure. Secondly, more than three-quarters entries gained a C grade.

Even with this positive news, students are still finding it difficult to get into universities. Due to the recession, a surge of applications have been sent out for various courses, with their only beign 22,000 places across the country. Students with several A grades and top marks can’t expect to get into universities, but it is good to know the education in the country is improving.

The thirty five year old model has finally decided to quit modelling. The decision is based on a new career goal – which involves her becoming a ‘director of style’. She will team up with Simon Cowell, and Sir Philip Green (the man who brought about TopShop) and begin her new career path in the upcoming months.

Moss, a model for TopShop gained Sir Philip’s attention by the increased sales he gained. Her new career could see her net has much as 100million, an extravagant deal which was in fact more than her modelling career gained her (at least annually).

Coronation Street is being moved….to a THURSDAY!

The famous northern soap drama is now being moved from the usual Wednesday night slot to a new Thursday night slot. For over fifty years, fans of the show are used to watching the show at 7:30pm but due to football matches being favoured during the European League instead, bosses have rescheduled the show.

It comes into a night when EastEnders holds a 8.30pm slot, however, the show will be aired at a different time so that if fans watch both shows, this will not interfere. Though this may disrupt a fifty year tradition, it allows fans to sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy their show without any cancellations.
