One of the world’s leading sports, football, was originally created in England. It has had high success around the world as a recognised sport and its main tag-line is ”the beautiful game”.
Even with the best league in the world (Premier League), England still haven’t managed to prosper in tournaments since 1966. They are within the top 10 teams in the world and have had to take on an Italian in Fabio Capello to have a chance of gaining such silverware.
