Games allow virtual hate crimes

Various Human Rights groups have reported that many of the games on the market permit unlawful acts and violate the Geneva convention.

The groups looked for violations of the Geneva Conventions and protocols which cover how war should be conducted.

Army of Two, Call of Duty 5, Far Cry 2, Call of Duty 6: MW2 and Metal Gear Solid were amongst games to be reviewed.

The Groups are worried that gamers can not distinguish between the real world and the virtual world where they commit these “crimes”.

Also reported was that, “the games were so complex that it was difficult to be confident that its testers had seen all possible violations or, in games in which they found none, that no violations were possible.”

Evidence enough that a lot of time and money has been wasted in this study.

Michael Schumacher making a return?

From rumours of Schumacher coming back to formula 1 racing after Massa from ferrari had a close encounter with a spring that came off an opposing car, to new rumours that he will actually join the Mercedes team permantly in the 2010 season.

Schumacher to return to Ferrari was heavily denied when Massa had his accident, however reports came in of him testing one of the ferrari cars and later had to pull out due to neck injuries.

Could Schumacher really be considering a proper return? It’s not something people are denying, however the rumours are quickly said to be unlikely talking to racing boss Brawn.
